Funeral Arrangements for Office George Poynter.

It is with extreme sadness that the Thornton Police Department informs you of the passing of retired Officer, Detective and SWAT member George Poynter. George valiantly battled leukemia for several years and passed on 050209.

1000 hrs. Mass Shrine at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 7555 Grant Place Arvada, Colorado 80002.

1115 hrs. Procession to Ft. Logan

1215 hrs. Services at Ft. Logan

Immediately following service at Ft. Logan (approximately 1300 hrs) there will be a reception at El Jebel Shrine, 4625 W. 50^th Avenue, Denver, Colorado 80212.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to a fund being set up for Georges Children. Information will be forthcoming on the fund.
