Saturday's breakfast was another great time. Even with Mother Nature
gracing us with a cold snap and snow many showed up and had a great time.

I know that pictures were taken and hope that we see them soon on the site,
unfortunately I did not have my camera but there was Mark Graf taking

SPO Job Posting Idaho National Lab

Responsibilities

Home Org: Special Response Team
Location: MFC
HR Contacts: Kristen Forsgren (526-8825), Pamela Scott (526-5975), and Deborah Chaffee (526-8782)

This position is the Special Response Team (SRT) Lieutenant (Lt.) and reports to the SRT Team Leader, SRT Area Manager and to the Shift Captain. The Lt. responds during security emergencies and can become Officer in Tactical Command (OTC) under certain conditions, develops tactical crisis resolution plans and contingencies. Plans, develops and conducts tactical training. Plans and conducts and assists live fire range training. Conducts self-assessments on SRT operations. Trains with Local and Federal Law Enforcement personnel. This position must have full understanding and be capable of directing an effective, aggressive and timely resolution of adversary actions as established in the Design Basis Threat policy for DOE programs and facilities using force options team techniques for interdiction, interruption, neutralization and recapture for SNM and hostage situations.

Qualifications

SP0200: High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years relevant experience. BS/BA degree and 4 years protective force operational experience,
At least 1 year of leadership experience
Excellent knowledge of security systems
Excellent knowledge of Governmental regulations
Excellent management and leadership skills
Obtain and maintain ¿Q¿ Clearance
Maintain Security Police Officer III INL standards.
Maintain all physical fitness standards as required by DOE order in accordance with local field office requirements.

Special Requirements and/or Training:
NTC basic instructor, firearms instructor and SPO III instructor certifications are required when provided by the INL.

Licenses or Certifications Required:
SPO III Certification

Environmental, Safety & Health

Must be familiar with, and comply with all relevant health and safety requirements. Must be knowledgeable of emergency action policies and procedures, methods for reporting/resolving work practices or conditions to available cognizant professionals.

CONDOLENCES
TO THE FAMILY

William O'Connor Meaney. (Bill)
Bill was born on June 28, 1928 in Kansas City MO
and died on January 12, 2009 in Broomfield CO.
He suffered from Parkinsons disease. He was 80 years old.
He served four years in the United States Navy.
He retired from Rocky Flats in 1990, where he had worked in security.
He was preceded in death by his wife Thelma (December 22, 2007)
whom he had been married to for 57 years.
He leaves behind three sons Mike (Julie) Phil (Cheryl) Don (Carol), 13 grandchildren,
and nine great-grandchildren.
The viewing will be from 5-8pm Thursday January 15, 2009.
The funeral service will be at 10 am Friday January 16, 2009.
Both of these will be held at:
